The Learning Curve (or How Texas Expands my Horizon)

The Learning Curve (or How Texas Expands my Horizon)

I feel like since moving to Texas a short, few months ago I am back in school; I guess that is because I am learning so much, about so many things: the Texas landscape and its - sometimes savage - beauty, the ever-changing and inmense sky, the way of the Texans I have been meeting, specially in our new home-town of San Marcos, and how they have this manner of making one feel welcome and right at home. I have been learning how to set up a website and an online store (thank you, Shopify), and how to make a living creatively by making and selling my own pieces and selling those of other artists and artisans. I have been learning how the support of other women who are also starting their own businesses makes me stronger and keeps me striving for more and better things; and mostly, I have been learning about myself, about what I want in life, that I am stronger and more capable than I ever considered; and how this whole crazy, wonderful adventure is as rich and rewarding as it is because I am sharing it all with my partner in everything Stevie Black.
